OS X Mavericks 10.9 Retail VMware Image Release Notes

- Apple dropped support for 32-bit mode in DP2 of Mountain Lion, so make sure you keep the VMware Settings flagged as “Mac OS X 10.7/8 64-bit” otherwise no bootable medium will be detected. Means you need a 64-bit Windows install.

- Comes with direct download links as usual. (Will be added soon)

- Embedded graphics drivers to increase number of available resolutions.

- Fast boot time on most machines, as can be seen in the video.

- Fresh installation of 10.9, everything was fixed during the installation.

- Kernel doesn’t include any AMD patches

- Make sure VT is turned on in your BIOS, if available. Otherwise you need to use the Hardware Bypasser alongside VMware 8.

- Recommended you run on the latest version of VMware, as that’s what it was tested on, and apparently fixes Apple logo stalling in certain situations.

At least try to use VMware 8+. VMware 9 or 10 to be safe.

- Take a snapshot when you get to Finder for the first time. Gives you a “save” point to revert to should you break anything.

- We uploaded an updated VMware Tools to our Mediafire folder here. These tools came with the latest VMware release and support Mountain Lion.

Unlock VMWare để chạy máy ảo Mac OSX

Để có thể chạy máy ảo MAC OSX 10.7, 10.8 trên VMWare Workstation V7, 8, 9, cần unlock VMWare. Thực hiện các bước sau:

Download file unlock-all-v110.zip (khoảng 4MB). Sau khi download, giải nén được các file install.cmd, uninstall.cmd, Unlick.exe. Chạy file install.cmd ở quyền Administrator (chuột phải vào file install.cmd, trên menu chuột phải, chọn "Run as administrator".

Khi chạy file install.cmd, xuất hiện cửa sổ lệnh của Windows và chương trình thực hiện việc unlock VMWare.

Chạy OS X 10.8.2 trên VMWare

Trong hướng dẫn này sẽ chi tiết việc chạy OS X 10.8.2 trên VMWare, trước khi download OS X image, cần đọc các yêu cầu dưới đây:

- Máy tính có bộ xử lý hỗ trợ công nghệ ảo hóa Virtualization Technology (kiểm tra tính năng này đã được enable trong BIOS).

- Bản OSX 10.8.2 pre- install trên VMWare.

- VMWare Workstation phiên bản 8 hoặc 9.

1. Download file torrent để down OSX 10.8.2 cho VMWare theo link: http://www.souldevteam.net/blog/downloads/

2. Sau khi download (file OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 VMware Image.7z) giải nén vào thư mục, ví dụ F:\Virtual Machine\OS X Mountain Lion. Trong thư mục này có file chính là file OS X Mountain Lion.vmdk (khoảng gần 7Gb)

3. Unlock VMWare

4. Chạy VMWare, trong table Home, chọn "Open a Virtual Machine", sau đó mở file OS X Mountain Lion.vmx trong thư mục nói trên. Trên VMWare xuất hiện máy ảo OS X Mountain Lion.

5. Config

Trước khi chạy máy ảo OS X Mountain Lion này cần cấu hình tham số về Memory, Processor, ... Nếu bạn sử dụng phiên bản VMWare 9, chọn chức năng "Upgrade this virtual machine". Sau khi Upgrade, chọn "Edit virtual machine settings".

Tùy theo các thông số của máy thật để chọn các thông số của máy ảo. Trong ví dụ này, khuyến nghị chọn Memory: 2GB, 02 processor; lựa chọn tính năng "Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI" và "Virtualize CPU performance counters" (tab Hardware).

Chọn tab Options và lưu ý chọn Guest OS là "Apple Mac OS X" và phiên bản là 10.8 64 bit.

Đến đây kết thúc quá trình cấu hình và bạn có thể chạy máy ảo.

6. Cài VMWare Tools trên OSX 10.8.2

Khi OSX chạy bạn đầu cần khai bao một số thông tin để xử dụng. Sau khi khai báo sẽ chạy và giao diện của OSX. Để máy ảo OSX hoạt động trơn chu, cần cài VMWare Tool lên máy ảo OSX.

Trong mục Setting, chọn ổ CD/DVD (IDE), sau đó chọn "Use ISO image file" và Browse đến đường dẫn C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Workstation\darwin.iso. Khi đó máy ảo sẽ nhận file drawin.iso như một ổ CD. Trên desktop của MAC OS X, có thể thấy biểu tượng của ổ ảo này ở bên phải.

Nhắp đúp vào ổ VMWare Tools, sau đó chọn "Install VMWare Tools" để thực hiện việc cài đặt VMWare Tools cho máy ảo. Kết thúc quá trình cài đặt, khởi động lại máy ảo.
